General Job Description: A Delivery Coordinator delivers food, supplies, furniture or other goods from CFS to BSC units.
Required Scheduling Availability: Delivery Coordinators must be available for two 4.5-hour time blocks, or three three-hour time blocks, Monday - Friday, 12:00 - 5:00pm
Specific Responsibilities:
- Deliver food, supplies, and furniture, and other items as requested by the CFS Supervisor (CFSS)or Assistant CFS Supervisor (ACFSS), from CFS to the units.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, and correct errors when possible.
- Return delivery bins and equipment to CFS, and return any extra items to appropriate storage areas.
- Clean delivery bins after each shift and stack neatly.
- Return delivery records to CFSS or CFSAA.
- Supervise workshifters, as needed.
- Ensure that the delivery truck has at least a half tank of gas at the completion of every delivery.
- Perform other duties as requested by the CFSS or ACFSS.
- Support CFSS and ACFSS in ensuring CFS remains a safe and healthy work environment
- Drive the truck safely and courteously, in accordance with the BSC Vehicle Safety Policy.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Ability to drive a 14-foot box truck with automatic transmission; valid driver's license; good driving record.
- Ability and willingness to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to create and maintain cordial and professional working relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to count accurately and keep organized records.
- Good verbal communication skills.
Entry Level Experience/Education Required:
- Must be a BSC member in good standing for the duration of the employment period.
Term of Job: Indefinite; Fall & Spring Semesters Only
