When there is doubt as to the interpretation of the Per¬sonnel Code, the Personnel & Operations Committee shall render interpretation. Such interpretation shall take into consideration applicable current personnel policies of the University of California and applicable situations in private industry and public agencies (also see Personnel Code Appendix B. Interpretations).

B. ENFORCEMENT
The Executive Director and the VPIA shall be responsible for ensuring that all provisions of the Personnel Code are implemented and en¬forced. The Executive Director and the VPIA shall take all steps within their authority to correct situations where the provisions of this Code are not being followed, and shall report all such violations to the Board of Directors.

C. PERSONNEL CODE SUSPENSION OR AMENDMENT
An absolute two-thirds majority of the Board of Directors shall be necessary to amend or suspend the Personnel Code, unless ten days written notice of the proposed amendment has been given. No new notice shall be required to approve an amended version of the originally proposed change.

D. EMPLOYEE COPY
Each new employee must be given a copy of this Personnel Code. The BSCEA President shall receive and make available upon request to EA Members a revised version of the Personnel Code at the end of each spring contract period. An updated version of the Personnel Code shall be posted in the Central Office.
