A. TEMPORARY POSITIONS
The Executive Director shall have the authority to hire persons for up to four weeks, at a wage no greater than the lowest BSC wage for a Regular Employee. Exceptions to this policy shall require the approval of Personnel & Operations Committee and the Board. These restrictions shall not apply to temporary replacements for employees on leaves of absence.


B. CREATION OF POSITIONS

  1. As per Sec 19.A. of the EA Contract, “Creation of Positions.”
  2. When the Board creates new benefited positions, it must consider increasing the number of parking spots for staff.


C. ALTERATION AND/OR TERMINATION

  1. As per Sec 19.B. of the EA Contract, “Alteration and/or Termination of Positions.”
  2. The Board of Directors shall not alter working conditions which are set by a Union or other agreement, except as provided for in the agreement.
  3. Severance Pay:
    a. If a position is terminated the employee shall receive the following sever¬ance pay upon commencing the conclusion of his/her employment:
    i. Up to one year of service: two weeks pay
    ii. One through two years service: three weeks pay
    iii. Three through ten years services: four weeks pay
    iv. Over ten years service: five weeks pay
    If a position is substantially altered necessitating an employee to leave the position, the above severance pay scale shall apply.


D. TEMPORARY RECLASSIFICATION OF WORK DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. As per Sec 24.B. of the EA Contract, “Temporary Reclassification of Work Duties and Responsibilities.”
  2. In no event shall a Member or Regular Employee assuming another posi¬tion, as described in this section, receive a reduction in pay.
