# A Senior Special Projects Technician leads the process of investigating, proposing, and performing specialized projects around the cooperative using only in-house labor and assists in training central-level technicians, house maintenance managers, and house-level crew in repair and maintenance techniques. Senior Special Projects Technicians oversee Special Project Technician's work in order to ensure good quality and timely completion. Senior Maintenance Technicians must possess the ability and desire to provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a cooperative, student-run organization.

# Works with and supervises the work of the Special Project Technicians on the job. 
# Leads regularly scheduled routine tours of the houses for the purpose of developing solutions for deferred maintenance or proposing improvements to the properties that can be completed using only the labor of the Special Projects Team. These suggestions are delivered to the Maintenance Director for consideration
# Leads development and implementation of routine preventative maintenance schedules for different aspects of house upkeep.
# Works from written and oral instructions performs work in multiple trades to maintain and improve BSC properties, both on a regular and emergency basis. Supervises and instructs summer crew, summer workers, and unit level workers in carrying out project-specific tasks and general maintenance tasks when needed. 
# Collaborates with the Maintenance Technician team in the day-to-day upkeep of the co-op on an as-needed basis at the discretion of the Maintenance Director. 
# Collaborates with the Project Director on BAPS, HAPS, and DAPS projects or work involving outside vendors on an as-needed basis at the discretion of the Maintenance Director. 
# Conducts minor vehicle maintenance and coordinates regular services and repairs for the BSC vehicle fleet.
# Maintains written and computerized records of work done.
# Develops basic written plans/drawings of work to be done.
# Responds to requests from the Maintenance Director regarding emergency overtime, as needed.
# Help the Regular Preventative Maintenance Techs safely and legally navigate performing complex upkeep and construction in what are primarily Victorian era buildings with multiple decades of era specific infrastructure built into them
# Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director. 
# On a rotating basis in conjunction with the Maintenance Director, Project Director, and Senior Preventative Maintenance Technician, carry and answer the Maintenance Emergency Phone after hours and respond to emergencies as needed.

:4. Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

:7. Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
:8. Must be able to learn new skills and information quickly and easily and work under pressure and in crisis.
