IV.F. Energy Discounts and Rebates

Any money granted to or earned by the BSC as a result of energy saving practices or spending shall be deposited into the Energy Conservation Fund.

IV.E.1. CALIFORNIA ALTERNATE RATES FOR ENERGY (CARE)

The BSC qualifies for 20% discount on utilities bills annually through PG&E administered CARE program. The BSC began receiving discount in fall 2009.

A. Renewal of CARE

It is the responsibility of the Sustainability Coordinator to reapply for the CARE program on an annual basis.

B. Allocation of CARE savings

Any savings resulting from the CARE program shall be placed into the Energy Conservation Fund (Section IV.F).

IV.E.2. REBATES

A. PG&E Rebate Catalog

PG&E offers rebates for energy-efficient products and appliances. It is the responsibility of the Sustainability Coordinator, Central Maintenance, and Maintenance Managers to apply for these rebates when appropriate. Rebates on energy-efficient purchases must be deposited into the Energy Conservation Fund.
