Job Summary

The Housing Coordinator will oversee front office operations and provide support for key housing management functions. This role includes supervisory responsibilities, customer service interactions, and system maintenance tasks to ensure efficient housing operations. The ideal candidate will bring excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities

General Housing Department Support

• Manage incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and voice messages.
• Use housing software to perform routine administrative tasks including bookings, transfers, cancellations, and adjustments.
• Update member records as needed
• Ensure that the annual workflow for housing contract renewals and new housing contract offers is followed in a timely manner.
• Supervise, train, and support front desk receptionists.

Status verifications

• Conduct and process verification of member demographics and student status.
• Report data collected
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with residential management systems (e.g., Mercury, StarRez, Yardi, Appfolio) and/or Accessible Information Management (AIM) systems required.
• Prior experience as a 504 coordinator or willingness to complete training within one month of being hired
• Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
• Proficient in verbal and written communication for diverse audiences, including students, families, executive leaders, and external agencies.
• Customer-service-driven with the ability to handle conflicts respectfully and professionally.
• Initiative and sound judgment to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience

• Minimum: Associate’s degree
• Minimum: Work Experience, full-time or part-time relevant work experience of any nature can be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing direct or indirect services to college students from diverse backgrounds.
• Supervisory and training experience with student employees or full-time staff.

Compensation

$25-$27/hour

20 hours/week
